Grand Avenue Students Collect Hundreds Of Books For The Needy

The books will be donated to groups across the metropolitan area.

The Builders’ Club of Grand Avenue Middle School collected and organized book donations for their drive to benefit the local organization, The Book Fairies.

“We collected new or gently used books suitable for babies through adults,” said Sean Doherty, Spanish teacher and club adviser. “The students spent time after school to sort and package up the donations.”

Eighth grader Nick DiMarco joined the Builders Club last year because his grandfather is an active Kiwanis Club member.
