Holiday Blood Drive; Donors Will Receive Seasonal Socks

The North Bellmore Public Library is hosting the event on Dec. 16.

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — Residents can feel good giving the gift of life this holiday season.

The North Bellmore Public Library will host a blood drive on Dec. 16. The day-long event is scheduled from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted as space allows.

You can call the New York Blood Center to make an appointment at 1-800-933-BLOOD.

Guidelines for donating blood:

  • People are reminded to eat and drink before giving blood.
  • Bring a donor ID card or other photo ID.
  • All donors must wear facial covering regarding vaccine status.

The blood drive is sponsored by Nassau County Legislator Steven Rhoads.

His office says all donors will receive a free pair of festive socks.
