Homeless Man Harasses Teenager Walking Home From Bellmore School: Cops
Christopher Christopheren was spotted a few hours after the incident and taken into custody police said.

MERRICK, NY — A homeless man was arrested in Merrick following an incident involving a 14-year-old girl, police said.
The victim was walking home from John F. Kennedy High School on Merrick Road Tuesday afternoon when she was approached by a white man with a grey beard. As the victim passed, the man grabbed her arm tightly and screamed obscenities at her, police said.
The girl was able to break free and ran home. A few hours later, the victim and her parents saw him walking near the CVS on Merrick Road in Merrick.

Detectives responded and placed Christopher Christopheren, 44, under arrest, authorities said.
He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
