House Fire Sends 1 Person To Hospital: FD

GoFundMe page created for the displaced family has more than $15,000 in donations.

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — A house went ablaze Saturday night. The North Bellmore Fire Department responded to the incident on Herkimer Street at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Firefighters got the flames out within 45 minutes, according to the North Bellmore Fire Department's Facebook page.

Crews from North Merrick, Bellmore and East Meadow assisted.

One resident was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition, North Bellmore F.D. posted on Facebook.

Police, however, had no information on the weekend fire.

A GoFundMe page was created to help the Napier family. More than $15,000 was donated.

Most of the home become ashes, losing precious mementos, they told CBS2.

It's still not certain not the fire started.
