The Impact of Addiction - Pathways to Help and Hope

Event Includes: Resource Fair -Signs - Symptoms – Red Flags How to Navigate the System-GPS for Treatment Options — Recovery Information

With the battle against opiate and heroin addiction raging across Long Island, the Community Parent Center, the Bellmore Merrick-CHSD and the Bellmore-Merrick Community Coalition are collaborating with F.I.S.T- Families in Support of Treatment to present “The Impact of Addiction on Youth, Pathways to Help and Hope”. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 10th 2018 – 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Brookside School located at 1260 Meadowbrook Road – North Merrick, New York in the Auditorium.

This event will offer an abundance of helpful information at a resource fair and a powerful program presented by Anthony Rizzuto, LMSW,CASAC, Regional Director of Community Relations at the Seafield Center and Founder and Executive Director of FIST - Families in Support of Treatment. Mr. Rizzuto will share his knowledge and expertise as he discusses Signs, Symptoms and Red Flags, How to Navigate the System for Treatment Options, and Recovery Information.

The current opiate epidemic on Long Island has touched and impacted every community across Long Island. It knows no bounds. It does not discriminate based on socioeconomic status, race, gender, or geography. It is affecting our youth, tearing apart families, destroying futures, and ultimately, taking lives.
