The Clare Family has decided to change the award we give each year in James Memory. We used to give 2/3 awards at Mepham High School for Music/Drums in May. Instead, we now want to honor those that have kept his memory alive. December, 2009 marked that fateful day we lost our son, James. This is a special award to those out of high school who are doing things to keep James memory in our hearts. The Award will be an Annual Award. This award will honor those surrounding James that post on his facebook page, or that we know through various news outlets in our area. We have always felt his life going forward would be in the hearts of his friends and his family. For this we want to thank his friends for remembering him and letting us know about it. We have selected two people from James Clare circle of friends/acquaintances to honor in 2017. Both have advanced James’s Memory. One who has posted overtime about James and her remembrance of him; and another who chose a particular career path. Both people are graduates of our Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.
This year’s first ever awards go to two people known by James in his lifetime. It is with great pride for James memory that we announce that this years award winners are: Shaun Cohen and Alexaann Tkscsik; If you see them, congratulate them on this award.
