JFK Boys Lacrosse Defeats Malverne, 10-2
Michael Casson and Matthew Gavigan nab three goals each.
The Kennedy High Cougars defeated the Malverne Mules, 10-2, last Thursday in boys lacrosse action.
Malverne played hard the whole game, never allowing the Cougars to go on a run. Pacing the Cougars offense were Michael Casson and Matthew Gavigan, each scoring three times. Also recording goals for the Cougars were Zac Shuldiner (two), Kevin Reuter (one), and Andrew Brancato (one).
Defensively the Cougars were led by Andrew Kruter who held Malverne's top player scoreless. Kennedy played both Patrick Grillo and Alex Naftal in the goal. They combined for seven saves.
Kennedy controlled the face-off, winning 11 out of 15 face-offs. Will Diana won 10 face-offs for JFK.
The Cougars travel to Hewlett tomorrow and compete at Kennedy on April 8 against Mineola High School.
