John-Austin Emory ran for 131 yards and a touchdown as Bellmore JFK picked up its first football win of the season Friday, 17-0 over South Side.
Tim Kutil picked off a pass and returned it 38 yards on a big defensive play for the Cougars.
Tommy Ferner had 12 tackles and a pass deflection to lead the defensive shutout. Matt Tenenbaum made nine tackles and Todd Yovino had a sack.
