Kennedy Scores Well on "Best High Schools Ranking" List

Editor's Note: The following article was written to parents from Lorraine Poppe, the principal at John F. Kennedy High School.

Each year the U.S. News and World Report publishes their "Best High Schools Ranking" List.

This year, they considered 21,035 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia. Kennedy was listed #330 and received a GOLD MEDAL based on State proficiency standards and how well students are prepared for college.

Gold Medal recognition was given to the top 500 schools, representing two percent of the schools reviewed.

Congratulations to our students, staff and school community!

Kennedy was also listed on the Washington Post's "Most Challenging High School List" based on the number of AP tests given to seniors, thus effectively preparing students for college. Great news!

Thanks to the entire community for your support of our schools!
