Kennedy Student Wins Big at French Poetry Competition

John F. Kennedy High School student Renee Korgood recently earned top honors at the Annual French Poetry Competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French.

The prestigious competition was held this year at the Portledge School in Locust Valley. Students from across Nassau County submitted original poetry in French or recited famous French poems that they had memorized.

Korgood, a JFKHS freshman, won 7th place in Nassau County and 8th place in the nation.
