Knife-Wielding Man Attempted Robbery, Slashed Tires: Police
Police are searching for the man who attempted to rob two others at knifepoint.

Nassau police are searching for a man who attempted to rob two others at knifepoint in North Bellmore early Sunday morning.
According to police, two men, ages 19 and 20, were in a home on Cleveland Street when they heard a loud noise at 12:05 a.m. and went outside to investigate. When they were outside, a man armed with a pocket knife approached them and demanded money. The two men said they had nothing and walked away, and the robber fled southbound on foot on Dewey Avenue. Later, one of the men found that all four tires on his car had been slashed and a headlight was smashed.
The robber was wearing a black hooded jacket and a black bandanna. There is no further description. No one was injured.
