Man Charged With Four Armed Robberies Within 7 Hours

The robberies all occurred between Sunday night and early Monday morning in Bellmore and Merrick.

MERRICK, NY - A Hempstead man was arrested on Monday for four armed robberies in Bellmore and Merrick within a seven-hour period, according to Nassau Police.

According to police, 27-year-old Jerrod Rollerson was armed with a handgun and entered the following locations demanding money:

  • Sunday at 9:53 p.m. – Valero gas station 207 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore
  • Monday at 4:30 a.m. – Valero gas station 207 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore
  • Monday at 4:45 a.m. – BP gas Station 2425 Merrick Road, Bellmore
  • Monday at 4:58 a.m. – 7-ElevensStore 150 Merrick Road, Merrick

Rollerson stole cash and cigarettes during the robberies, police said. No injuries were reported.

Officers found him Monday morning on Harvard Avenue in Merrick, where he was placed under arrest, police said.

He was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun at the time of his arrest, according to police.

Charges are pending.

Rollerson was among the eight postal workers arrested for mail theft and drug conspiracy charges after stealing massive amounts of marijuana in 2014, according to a previous Patch article.
