
Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Wantagh on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a man entered TD Bank located at 3222 Sunrise Highway and presented a note to a female teller demanding cash and indicating that he had a weapon around 12:35 p.m.
After the teller complied and handed over an undetermined amount of cash, the man fled on foot and dropped the proceeds in the bank before heading west on Sunrise Highway.

There was no weapon displayed and no injuries reported.
The robber is described as white, 30-35 years old, 6-foot and 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark glasses and jeans.

Detectives are requesting that anyone with information regarding the robbery contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
