Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Bellmore

A man was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in Bellmore Monday night.

According to police, a 54-year-old man was driving his motorcycle southbound on Bedford Avenue in Bellmore at 7:30 p.m. when he hit a truck which was travelling northbound on Bedford Avenue making a left onto Sunrise Highway.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious chest and leg injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Both vehicles were impounded from the scene. No other injuries were reported. No criminality is suspected at this time.
