Masked Gunman Robs Bellmore Gas Station

It happened early Tuesday morning, police say.

BELLMORE, NY - Police are searching for a man who robbed a Bellmore gas station early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the man entered the BP station located at 2425 Merrick Road around 1:41 a.m. and displayed a black handgun.

He demanded cash from a male employee, who complied. The robber then fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash north on Newbridge Road, police said. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as 5-foot-10, wearing a black ski mask, black T-shirt and black gloves.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the Nassau County Police Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
