Massapequa, Bellmore Jewish Congregations to Join Together

The Bellmore Jewish Center and the Congregation Beth El of Massapequa recently announced they will be joining together to form Congregation Beth Ohr.

A merger ceremony will be taking place this Sunday, June 16 starting with a transfer of the Torahs at the Congregation Beth El of Massapequa on 99 Jerusalem Avenue starting at 11:15 a.m.

After the transferring of the Torahs from past presidents to current presidents Tina Baron and Marc Miller, there will be a short symbolic walk and the Torahs will be driven to a block away from Congregation Beth Ohr on 2659 Centre Avenue and the Torahs will be marched to the temple from there.

Then a second ceremony will follow.
