Mepham Girls Lacrosse Defeats Great Neck North, 10-5
Extending conference winning streak to 3-0.
The Mepham Girls Varsity Lacrosse team beat previously undefeated Great Neck North yesterday 10-5 to improve to 3-0 in the conference.
Freshman Ashley Appel led the scoring with her first varsity hat trick. Lauren Johnson and Cristina Olson both added two goals and three assists. Alex Giorgos scored two goals and Nicole Stackpole scored one goal. Kathryn DeLauter recorded the win with 13 saves. Outstanding defense was played by Kaitlyn Paolillo, Michelle Olson and Erin Neuwirth.
The girls' next home game is tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. against Elmont.
