Get out of my O-Zone!
That's the catchphrase of Adam "Big O" Ohriner, who will appear on Spike TV's Impact! Wrestling, which begins at 9 p.m Thursday.
Ohriner, a North Bellmore resident and Mepham High School graduate, had a try-out match against Brian Howe as part of the Gut-Check Challenge, in which several wrestlers are competing for a TNA contract.
"At first I was just going to help write and edit it, because that’s what I went to school for," Ohriner, 27, told Newsday. "But then he asked me to make cameo appearances, so I said sure. I made some cameos, and after a few months the show blew up. People took note of me...It kind of rekindled the wrestling spirit I had as a kid."
There are 10 candidates vying for a tryout, including fellow NYWC wrestler Dimitrious Papadoniou, 35, of Oceanside.
Also on Thursday show, there are appearances by Sting, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe and Hulk Hogan, just to name a few.
