The football game is still on, but Homecoming has been rescheduled for October.

Due to inclement weather forecasted for Friday afternoon and evening, Mepham has decided to cancel homecoming festivities.

The Pirates will still compete against the Calhoun Colts on Friday evening at 6 p.m.

The Pep Rally will now take place on Friday, Oct. 14, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. and the Pirate Festival will be from 4-6 p.m.

The homecoming game will be played against Carey High School at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.
The game’s theme will be a Homecoming for Hunger.

“We are asking all spectators to help support our new district food pantry housed at Brookside by donating canned food as they enter for the game,” said Mepham Principal Michael Harrington. “All food donations will help support our very own Bellmore-Merrick community.”
