Narcan Used to Revive Man Who Overdosed on Heroin in Massapequa

A 27-year-old man who overdosed on heroin in Massapequa was revived with Narcan early Friday morning, police said.

According to police, the man was found unconscious with labored breathing in his home at 1:30 a.m.

A Nassau County Police ambulance AMT administered Narcan, a powerful opioid antidote, and the man was taken to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition, police said.

Police did not indicate where in Massapequa the incident occurred.
