Bellmore Man Arrested After Attempting to Stab His Father To Death: Police
BREAKING: Police say a domestic dispute escalated until a son stabbed his father with a kitchen knife.
A Bellmore man was arrested Wednesday after police say he attempted to stab his father to death.
According to detectives, during a domestic dispute at their Bedell Street home at 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Dimitri Louros, 21, allegedly stabbed his 55-year-old father in the chest with a kitchen knife. The father was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, where he is listed in critical, but stable condition. Louros was placed under arrest at the scene.
He is charged with second degree attempted murder, first degree assault and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. He will be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
