New Year’s Resolutions for Safer Driving in 2016
With the New Year just around the corner, have you made your New Year’s Resolutions for 2016 yet? New Year’s Resolutions usually address health, prosperity, and hope and dreams. You want to get thinner, kick bad habits, maintain financial security, and accomplish new goals. Shouldn’t driving safely be just as big of a priority? Whether you are an experienced driver or a new driver, you should take this opportunity to turn over a new leaf and leave unsafe driving habits behind. The Community Parent Center and State Farm Insurance offer these tips to ensure your safety on the road as the New Year rolls in:
• No Alcohol or Other Drug Use
• Always Buckle Up. Every Person, Every Seat, Every Time
• Prohibit use of Cell Phones/Texting
• Avoid other Distractions – Eating, iPods, CDs
• Limit the Number of Passengers
• Restrict Night Driving
• Obey Speed Limit & all other Traffic Laws
Remember: Driving is a privilege, not a right. When you take the keys to a car, you take the responsibility for your safety, the safety of those who ride with you and those who share the road with you. The Community Parent Center and State Farm wish you a Safe and Happy 2016.
