North Bellmore Kindergartners Celebrate Their First 100 Days

The kids did numerous activities to celebrate the milestone.

The first 100 days are done, leaving only about 2,200 more until high school graduation. Kindergartners at Park Avenue Elementary School in the North Bellmore School District celebrated the 100th day of school on Feb. 13 with a plethora of fun learning activities.

Students in Anne Griffin and Melissa Reime’s classes dressed up as if they were 100 years old, but that was just the start. In 100-second periods, they found out how many times they could write their name, how many numbers they could write and how many shapes they could draw.

Kindergartners discovered how far they could go in the school by walking 100 steps and did a “Race to 100” math game by rolling dice and moving their game pieces until they reached the magic number.
