North Bellmore Recognizes Student Artists

Kids from every school were honored for their outstanding work.

BELLMORE, NY - From North Bellmore Public Schools: More than two dozen student artists were recognized at the North Bellmore School District Board of Education meeting on Jan. 11 for their outstanding work. Their pieces will hang for the next several months in office and the hallway of the central administration wing at Martin Avenue Elementary School.

The recognized student artists were:

  • John Dinkelmeyer Elementary School: Jackson Austin, Alex DiStefano, Addison Iemma and Grace Pantelis.
  • Martin Avenue Elementary School: Mattingly Bendig, Grace Keane, Panagiotis Margaronis and Michael Shevlin.
  • Newbridge Road Elementary School: Ariana Canales, Charles Kuchynskas, Christopher Mann, Sophia Walker and Ethan Wang.
  • Park Avenue Elementary School: Jayden Arcuri, Daniela Arias, Gavin Mehlhaff, Isabella Soto and Scarlett Wilson.
  • Saw Mill Road Elementary School: Christopher Bahamonde, Sofia Castrillon, Alexis Cohen, Seth Nevo and Helen Strite.
  • Student Arts League: Brandon Coles and Ruby Mayo.

Certificates were presented by art teachers Jill Emmer, Alison Hill, Amy Lopez and Jill Skelly. Dinkelmeyer Principal Faith Skelos, who supervises the district’s art program, said it is because of their inspiration that North Bellmore’s young artists are able to blossom and grow.
