North Bellmore Students Advance To State Competition
The Saw Mill students were regional winners in the NY PTA's Reflections contest.
From N. Bellmore Schools:Two students from Saw Mill Road Elementary School in the North Bellmore School District were regional winners in the New York State PTA’s annual Reflections contest. Fourth-grader Gavin McDermott and second-grader Lila Radigan had their artwork advance to the state level of the competition.
The theme for the 2018-19 Reflections contest is “Heroes Around Me.” Gavin completed a photo collage of his heroes including his family and his teachers. Lila painted a picture of the Earth along with her school, her dance studio and her grandparents’ house, symbolizing the people who are important to her.
