North Bellmore Superintendent To Be Honored For Her Service
The Lions Club will honor her at its gala on April 23.

Marie Testa, superintendent of the North Bellmore School District, will be honored by the Bellmore Lions Club at its upcoming 70th anniversary celebration dinner as the Community Honoree at the April 23 gala at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
Before she became the district’s superintendent in 2013, Testa was a principal in the district for eight years. She started her educational career in 1994 as a physical education teacher at Saw Mill Road Elementary School.
Testa, a Lions Club member, has cultivated a strong partnership between the school district and Lions Club. She creates connections that allow the service-oriented organization to assist members of the community in times of need. On April 1, she will be the keynote speaker at the Long Island Lions annual conference to discuss ways to continue meeting the organization’s mission in a changing world.

North Bellmore students also participate in several Lions Club initiatives, including the Service Project Letter Campaign in which children propose and implement community service projects.
“Our mission is to inspire children to contribute to the global community, and the Lions Club gives them meaningful opportunities to make a difference in North Bellmore and beyond,” Testa said. “The school district greatly values its partnership with the Lions Club. I am proud to be a member of this wonderful and supportive organization, and I share this award with my fellow educators.”
