Panera Bread Agrees to Property Fixes

Editor's Note: The following information was supplied to Patch by the South Bellmore Civic Association.

A representative from the Bellmore Preservation Group recently spoke with the attorney representing the property owner for the future Panera Bread location on Merrick Road in Bellmore and the following concessions have been amended to the site.

• The dumpster will be relocated to parking space #44 as per homeowner request.
• They will be installing six-foot PVC fence as opposed to stockade.
• They will be planting greenery on the homeowner's side of the fence (Ocean Ave) as per homeowner request. 
• An outdoor camera will be located in the rear lot (concern was kids skate boarding) -
• There will be signage for exiting onto Merrick Road.
  
• A community room will be available for use by non-profits.

According to an email from Marketing Manager Mandy Burns, "there is a lease signed for the new Panera Bread bakery-cafe located on Merrick Road between Farmers Avenue and Ocean Avenue."

"At this point we don’t have many other details, as there isn’t a firm opening date although it is likely to be late this year," she added.
