‘Raisin’ The Bar In Science at Newbridge
Students studied density by placing fresh raisins in cups of water and seltzer.

Bellmore Schools: Christopher Tzimas and Arisleiny Chase, sixth-graders at Newbridge Road Elementary School in the North Bellmore School District, recently conducted a “Dancing Raisins” science experiment. The students studied density by placing fresh raisins in cups of water and seltzer. They observed the raisins sink immediately in the water, but float in the carbonated drink briefly before falling to the bottom.
