New York City firefighter Walter Kowalski recently visited first graders in Amanda Kowalski’s class at Bellmore’s Charles A. Reinhard Early Childhood Center to discuss the importance of fire prevention and safety.
Working with Kowalski, the students participated in interactive activities on the Smart Board, viewed fire safety video clips and participated in a discussion on how to prevent fires.
Additionally, Kowalski spoke to the first-graders about his uniform and special equipment.
