Robber Tied Up Employee, Attacked Him To Rob Nassau Store
Police say the robber stole more than $25,000 of merchandise from an AT&T store Wednesday night.

An unknown man tied up and attacked an employee at a cell phone store in Bellmore Wednesday night before stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, police say.
According to police, the employee, a 24-year-old man, was working at the AT&T store at 1923 Bellmore Ave. just before 8 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown man. The man had a black handgun and forced the employee into a back room, where he tied the employee's wrists and ankles together.
The robber took personal property off the employee, including his car keys. After struggling to get into the store's safe, the robber hit the employee in the head with his handgun. The robber was finally able to get the safe open and stole more than $25,000 worth of merchandise, police say. The robber then fled in the employee's car.

The employee was able to free himself shortly after and called police. His car was found not long after. The employee was treated at the scene for a cut to his head.
The robber was 6 feet, 2 inches tall, wearing all black with a black ski mask.
