School District Opens Pre-K Applications For Classes In The Fall

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — Applications for being accepted for pre-kindergarten in the North Bellmore School District.

Due to a limited amount of spaces available, enrollment will be determined by a lottery drawing.

The 2022-2023 Universal Pre-K is contingent upon state funding, the district said.

Children who will be 4 years old by Dec. 1 and eligible to enter kindergarten in Sept. 2023 may participate in the lottery.

The district anticipates having half-day and full-day programs, depending upon the grants.

A half-day pre-k schedule would cover 2 1/2 hours per day, five days a week. The full-day program is five hours, Monday through Friday.

Parents can not choose the school location and transportation will not be provided.

The deadline to apply is March 11. Parents can find applications at www.northbellmoreschools.org and at each elementary school building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
