BELLMORE, NY — Two sisters made John F. Kennedy High School history on Oct. 10 when they both set new records for the female 5k, finishing just seconds apart.

Sisters Marissa and Maya Spottiswood both came in under 20 minutes, taking first and second place, respectively, with a big personal best for Maya at the league meet.

Coach Chris Mammone said, “it has been so much fun” watching these two compete in every race.
