Tree Topples Transformer Causing Some Power Outages In Bellmore
No one was injured, but power was knocked out late Monday afternoon on Albemarle Avenue, police said.

BELLMORE, NY — Trees crashed down in North Bellmore and hit an electrical transformer causing power outages, Nassau police said.
The call came in just before 4 p.m. Monday.
The block-long loss of electricity on Albemarle Avenue near Newbridge Road should be restored by 7:30 p.m., PSEG Long Island said on its website.

The downed wires may have also caused a smokey, fire condition, police said.
A tree also toppled onto a car. There were no injuries from either incident, police said.
