A Trio Of North Bellmore Teachers Earn Tenure

The three educators are all former North Bellmore students who now teach in the district.

Three teachers in the North Bellmore School District were awarded tenure at the Board of Education meeting on April 6.

The three educators are former North Bellmore students who now teach at Saw Mill Road Elementary School. The tenure recipients were sixth-grade teacher Christine Meiselas, and Stephanie Meehan and Samantha Quarta, who both teach Individual Learning Plan classes.

“Tenure in North Bellmore is earned through the consistent demonstration of growth on the part of the educator,” said Superintendent Marie Testa, who recommended the three teachers for tenure. “The district only grants tenure to those exemplary teachers who demonstrate a growth mindset and a love for children.”
