VIDEO: Long Island International Film Expo Returns to Bellmore

The Long Island International Film Expo returns to the Bellmore Movies this week.

The 14th annual expo will run from July 7 through July 14. This year the festival features 115 local and international films. Nassau County Film Commissioner Debra Markowitz talks about some of the highlights of the festival this year including the lineup of celebrity guests at the closing awards ceremony.

Actor Ed Burns is being honored with a creative achievement award. Actor Federico Castelluccio from the Sopranos and child star Butch Patrick, who played Eddie on the Munsters, are also scheduled to be celebrity presenters.

Film highlights include the highly anticipated Long Island Premier of Director Fred Carpenter's "Jesse," which was largely shot in Bellmore and which features roles by Armand Assante, Eric Roberts and William Forsyth.
