You Can See 'Guardians' A Day Early, And Help An Orphanage In Uganda

The Bellmore Playhouse is holding a special screening of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" to help an orphanage in Uganda.

Thanks to a fundraiser at the Bellmore Playhouse, you can watch Chris Pratt save the galaxy while you help save people here on Earth. The Bellmore Playhouse will be holding a special, early screening of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" on May 4 as part of a fundraiser for an orphanage in Uganda.

Tickets for the special screening are $15 and include popcorn and a soda. The money is being raised to purchase toys, clothes, shoes and other dearly needed supplies for the Home of Hope orphanage in Uganda.

Started by Edith Lukabwe 10 years ago, the Home of Hope is a special orphanage in Uganda that takes in children with physical and developmental disabilities. Special-needs children are often abandoned and left for dead in Uganda, as many see them as cursed. But Home of Hope takes them in and gives them love and a place to live.

Lukabwe is raising money to purchase land adjacent to her orphanage to expand it. Originally built to house 20 children, there are now 54 living at Home of Hope. Purchasing the land would allow Lukabwe to expand the building, as well as build a school.
