2 Men Killed In Suffolk County Hit-And-Runs Hours Apart
A bicyclist and a pedestrian were killed in separate hit-and-run crashes, police say.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY – Suffolk Police are investigating two fatal hit-and-runs that occurred hours apart this weekend.
A 63-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed in East Patchogue Saturday evening. Fifth Precinct police officers responded to Falcon Avenue, near East Lakewood Street, after a passing motorist called 911 to report a body in the roadway at about 6:35 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the victim, William Griffin, was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, police say.
Griffin, of East Patchogue, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second hit-and-run occurred in Brentwood around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.
Fredy Rivera-Bravo, 56, was crossing Second Avenue, near 7th Street, when he was struck by a vehicle that fled. Rivera-Bravo, of Brentwood, was transported to Southside Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
