2 Teens Shot in Brentwood: Police
Two teenage boys were shot while sitting inside a parked vehicle on Madison Avenue Monday night, Suffolk County police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — Suffolk County police are investigating a shooting that injured two teenage boys Monday night in Brentwood, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police Department Third Squad, three males were sitting inside a parked vehicle on Madison Avenue near Hewes Street at approximately 7 p.m. when a second vehicle carrying at least three males pulled up in front of them.
Police said one of the occupants of the second vehicle exited the car and began shooting at the parked vehicle, striking a 15-year-old boy in the hand and a 17-year-old boy in the leg.

The vehicle carrying the teens accelerated in reverse and fled the scene, police said. The second vehicle also fled in an unknown direction.
Authorities said the first vehicle traveled approximately 2 miles before stopping on a street in Bay Shore, where police were notified shortly afterward.

Both injured teens were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
