21-Year-Old Killed After Crashing Car Into Tree In Brentwood: PD

The crash was reported Thursday morning.

BRENTWOOD, NY - A man was killed after crashing his car into a tree in Brentwood Thursday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

Jonathan Cifuentes, 21, of Brentwood was driving a 2001 Nissan Altima southbound on Washington Avenue when his car crossed over the northbound lane.

He then struck a tree on the east side of the street, 15 feet north of Flick Place, at 5:25 a.m.

Cifuentes was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The car was impounded for a safety check.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
