21-Year-Old Killed In Early Morning Brentwood Crash: Police
A 21-year-old Brentwood woman was struck and killed early Wednesday morning on Washington Avenue, police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — A 21-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning in Brentwood, according to Suffolk County police.
The crash happened at around 5:10 a.m. on southbound Washington Avenue, police said.
Melody Quinones, 21, of Brentwood, was in the roadway when she was struck by a 2010 Volkswagen traveling south, police said. The vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old man, also of Brentwood.

Quinones was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle involved was impounded for a safety check.
Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
