3-Car Crash In Brentwood Injures Woman; Man Charged With DWI: Police

The crash happened early Saturday on the Long Island Expressway, Suffolk County police said.

BRENTWOOD, NY — A Bayville woman was seriously injured Saturday in a three-car crash on the Long Island Expressway, according to Suffolk County police. A Queens man is facing a driving while intoxicated charge following the crash.

Suffolk County police said the crash happened in the westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway near exit 53. The crash happened around 12:05 a.m.

According to police, a car driven by Ki Tat Leung, 53, of Flushing, Queens, was traveling westbound in the center lane when his vehicle struck the rear passenger side of a Honda driven by Bryan Bilotta of Bayville. The Honda struck a wall and was then struck by a tractor-trailer, police said.

Bryan Bilotta, 33 was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Cassandra Rostad, Bilotta’s wife and the passenger in his vehicle, was also taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Jose Evan Monico Derramas, of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, was not injured.

Wong was charged with driving while intoxicated following the crash. His arraignment was scheduled for Saturday.
