The historic achievement capped a day of festivities Saturday, Oct. 17, that brought together students, families, alumni and community members to celebrate school spirit and Musketeer pride.

The celebration began at Alfano Elementary School, where the annual Homecoming parade traveled down Wheeler Road before concluding at Central Islip High School.

Students from across the district represented their schools in the procession, while each high school class showcased its decorated float. Families, friends and alumni lined the parade route and gathered at the high school to take part in the festivities.
