Brentwood Garbage Man Killed After Being Struck By Motorcycle: PD
The 31-year-old was hit while picking up garbage. The 26-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition.

YAPHANK, NY - A sanitation worker from Brentwood was killed after being struck by a motorcycle while working in Yaphank on Wednesday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
Marlon Jovel, 31, was picking up garbage in front of 129 Long Island Avenue when he was struck by a 1992 Suzuki motorcycle traveling westbound on Long Island Avenue at a high rate of speed, police said.
Jovel was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The motorcyclist, 26-year-old Blaise Porter, of Yaphank, was also transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
