Brentwood Man Failed To Feed 2-Year-Old Pit Bull: SPCA

It was a happy ending for the dog who was later adopted by a vet technician.

BRENTWOOD, NY - A Brentwood man was arrested on Friday for failing to feed his pit bull, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.

After a lengthy and comprehensive investigation, 47-year-old Willie Jordan, was charged with animal cruelty for failure to provide provide proper sustenance including food to his dog Bruce, a 2-year-old pit bull, the SPCA said.

The severely emaciated dog was immediately taken to a veterinary hospital where aggressive life saving medical care was provided.

Bruce has since been adopted by a veterinary technician from the Animal Hospital.

Jordan was arrested without incident by SPCA detectives at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, the SPCA said.

He was released on station house bail, and his court date for arraignment is August 9.
