Brentwood Man Fatally Struck By LIRR Train: MTA
The unauthorized man was struck by a Ronkonkoma-bound train, officials say.

BRENTWOOD, NY — A man is dead after her was struck by a Long Island Railroad train in Brentwood on Monday night, a Metropolitan Transit Authority spokesperson confirmed with Patch.
Around 11:20 p.m. a Ronkonkoma-bound train fatally struck Tito Diaz, 75, of Brentwood on the tracks east of Brentwood Station, a spokesperson said.
Train service was suspended between Deer Park and Ronkonkoma stations as a result of this incident and the police investigation.

Normal service resumed around 2:45 a.m., officials said.
MTA Police are investigating the incident.
