Brentwood Man Seriously Injured After Car Strikes Pole Saturday: Police
A 27-year-old driver was taken to the hospital after his vehicle struck a utility pole early Saturday morning, police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — A man was seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash in Brentwood early Saturday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
Police said Kelvin Amarante, 27, of Brentwood, was driving a 1996 Honda Civic northbound on Brentwood Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a pole in front of 1738 Brentwood Road at approximately 2:21 a.m.
Amarante was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Suffolk County Police Department’s Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
