Brentwood Man Tests Almost Twice The Legal Limit For DWI: Police

The 36-year-old was caught driving drunk in the Town of Brookhaven on Saturday night.

TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN, NY - A Brentwood man was caught driving drunk with a BAC level almost 2 times the legal limit in the Town of Brookhaven on Saturday, according to State Police.

Nelson G. Arias Marzariegos, 36, was stopped on eastbound Eastport Manor Road near County Route 51 for
several traffic violations, police said.

While being interviewed, the officer noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and Arias Marzariegos was put through several field sobriety tests, police said.

He was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest.

Arias Marzariegos was transported back to SP Riverside where he provided a breath sample of .14 percent BAC, police said.

He was released on tickets returnable to Suffolk County First District Court on April 2.
