Brentwood Schools To Close Friday Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
The school will close to clean all buildings in the district "out of an abundance of caution," officials wrote in a letter.

BRENTWOOD, NY — While there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Brentwood, local schools will be closed on Friday, district officials announced Thursday. "The Brentwood School District has been made aware of several potential cases of the Coronavirus within the community," school officials announced in the letter.
While the Suffolk County Department of Health stated there are no confirmed cases in the Brentwood School Community, officials decided to shut down the school for the day "out of an overabundance of concern for the children and staff members of the school community."
Schools are expected to re-open on Monday, March 16. During the closure, the schools will undergo a "comprehensive deep cleaning of all the buildings in the district."
