Brentwood UFSD - Summer Feeding Program Launches

Brentwood, New York —The Brentwood Union Free School District (BUFSD) has announced its participation in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The summer program which began Monday, July 6, enables the district’s food service for Brentwood children under the age of 18 to continue uninterrupted throughout the summer. Similar to the food service program during school closures, SFSP is a pick-up service and meals do not need to be consumed on premises this year.

The program will continue through August 28, 2020 at the following sites: Ross High School (1 5th Avenue, Brentwood), North Elementary School (50 West White Street, Brentwood), Laurel Park Elementary School (48 Swan Lane, Brentwood), and Hemlock Park Elementary School (19 Hemlock Drive, Bay Shore). Breakfast and lunch will be served from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

No enrollment, paperwork, or income qualification is required to participate in the SFSP. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability.
