BUFSD To Host Drive-Through Winter Wonderland Tree Lighting

The Dec. 11 event will feature the district's annual Christmas tree lighting.

Brentwood High School in the Brentwood Union Free School District will be hosting its 7th annual community wide holiday tree lighting ceremony as a drive-thru Winter Wonderland extravaganza. The event, which will take place on December 11 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., will feature the district’s annual Christmas tree lighting as well as a myriad of holiday theme light displays for attendees to enjoy.

In their cars, students, families, and friends of the Brentwood community will celebrate the joy of the holiday season as they enter from the district gate on 3rd Avenue, extending to 7th Avenue. Please note, to ensure the health and safety of all, pedestrians will not be permitted to participate. Local businesses and organizations have collaborated with the district to generously provide assistance for the event, including the Brentwood Fire Department, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC), and various district clubs and teams. The community wide event began six years ago as a way to increase family involvement in the district.
